Frederick Nixon Munden had married Melissa J. Conley in 1840, and lived apparently next door to an elder Jesse Munden (age 60-70 per 1840 Census of Knox County). This was the only Jesse Munden of this advanced age in Knox County at that time. In 1839, Jesse had consented to the marriage of his daughter Jane Munden (b ca 1822) to Noah Nicholas Jones of McLean County, Illinois
